Marysville Fire Relief Ride

The 2009 Marysville Fire Relief Ride was organised to raise funds for the Black Saturday Bush Fires in Victoria in which 173 people died.

The ride took place around the most badly effected areas and the destruction the fire caused was incredible. It was a very moving ride. The photo shows former Olympic Sprint Champion Shane Kelly riding deep in thought past the burnt trees on the Lake Mountain climb.
